Meet Fall Intern Carlos Snellenberg-Fraser

Hello!

My name is Carlos Snellenberg-Fraser and I am a new Curator Fall Intern. I am a born-and-raised PNW local with a passion for communication and the outdoors.

I was drawn to the field of public relations through my studies in Communication and Journalism at Seattle Pacific University. I am entering my senior year and I have worked as a staff news writer at Seattle Pacific University’s student newspaper, The Falcon, for the past year.

After I graduate, I hope to work in public relations or corporate communications. I have always been passionate about organizations, firms, and companies with an emphasis on greater impact, community relations, and ethical communication practices. It is for this reason that I was drawn to Curator.

I recently finished an internship with The Borgen Project, a local nonprofit aimed at reducing global poverty, as a Nonprofit Leadership Advocate. While I may be new to the field of public relations, my experience in student journalism has opened my eyes to the impact of good media relations and strong communication skills. For example, our Falcon news writing team was able to garner local media coverage in April 2021 as a result of our reporting.

I look forward to this new opportunity with Curator and I am excited to learn about the world of PR!
