Shawn Achor: The Happy Secret to Better Work

Finally, a TED talk that proves happiness IS the key to success. Psychologist Shawn Achor argues that happiness inspires productivity—and I have to agree!

Achor says it's not necessarily reality that shapes us, but the lens through which our brains view the world that shapes our realities. He says if we can change the lens, not only can we change our happiness, but we can change every single educational and business outcome at the same time.

FUN FACT: 90% of your long-term happiness is predicted by the way your brain processes the world

FUN FACT #2: 75% of job successes are predicted by your optimism levels, your social support, and your ability to see stress as a challenge instead of a threat

"Your brain in positive performs significantly better than it does in negative, neutral or stressed."

The best thing about this video? Achor gives us ways to train our brains to be more positive.

Check it out.
